Elisabeth Sladen & The Impossible Astronaut

Unfortunately I couldn't report on the death of Elisabeth Sladen on Tuesday because I was without internet access on holiday. As most of you know, she died aged 63 of cancer.

Saturday's episode, the opening episode of Doctor Who Season 32, was dedicated to her. The episode itself saw someone get shot by an Astronaut in the first 8 minutes, come back about 5 minutes later, and then... well, you can read my review here.

Day of The Moon airs at 6pm on Saturday 30th April 2011 on BBC1/BBC HD, and is the concluding part to The Impossible Astronaut. My review can be read on the website above around 9pm-10pm on Saturday 30th. The BBC have released two preview clips, an Introduction and a Next Time trailer on the Official Website. Updates will again be rare this week, but full updates return from Saturday 30th.

The Silent Scream...

While some already know this, I thought I'd share it with the world. The monsters in the opening two-parter of Doctor Who Season 32 (as I shall refer to it on here) are The Silence, inspired by Munch artwork "The Scream". The shape is certainly similar between the two, and The Silence have been "controlling us for thousands of years", according to Doctor 11 Matt Smith.
